Spring is such a special season! I love all the hope that it encompasses and the sudden influx of glorious sunshine. Books that celebrate spring seem to hold this same feeling of hope and sunshine and it brings us so much joy. Below is a list of some picture books that are perfect for Spring that we love. I Found Hope in a Cherry Tree by Jean E. Pendziwol and Nathalie Dion- This book starts off by featuring winter and then has a lovely transition to the beginning of spring as well as the joy and hope that it holds.
The Secret Fawn by Kallie George and Elly Mackay- In this story a family is fortunate enough to find some deer on their property and the youngest child goes off on a little adventure and discovers the fawn.
Busy Spring: Nature Wakes Up by Sean Taylor, Alex Morss and Cinyee Chiu- This book is a wonderful introduction to the many aspects of the season of spring. Its large, beautiful and covers a lot.

Have You Ever Seen a Flower? by Shawn Harris- This book is a beautiful tribute to flowers! It invites you to see them in new ways and to notice tiny details that you may never have noticed before.
Little Sap: The Magical Story of a Forest Family by Jan Hughes and Ruth Hengeveld- This is a great book about the growth process of saplings and tree families. Love it!
The Luckiest Snowball by Elliot Kreloff- A snowball book for spring?! That’s right! This adorable book features a snowballs journey through all four seasons and it’s purely delightful.
Ducks on the Road: A Counting Adventure by Anita Lobel- This counting book has a lovely, vintage feel to it and is perfect for the preschool crowd and younger bookworms.
Sunday Rain by Rosie J. Pova and Amariah Rauscher- In this story it is playing outside in the rain that helps a young child who has newly moved into a neighborhood make friends.

In My Garden by Charlotte Zolotow and Philip C. Stead- This story follows a garden through the changes of all four seasons and what our protagonist loves about each one. It is sweet and sentimental and charming.
The Bear in the Boat by Owen Hart and Caroline Pedler- Bear is someone that everyone in his forest community looks up to. So, when a big rainstorm starts to flood their homes, they run to bear for help.
A New Green Day by Antoinette Portis- Each page of this book presents a riddle about nature that you can guess at. Then, when you turn the page, you are rewarded with the answer. Lot’s of fun and so creative.
