I’ve said it here before, and I mean it, gingerbread is probably my favorite holiday flavor. I can’t get enough of the spice combination, deep molasses flavor and nostalgia associated with it. When it comes to gingerbread, I love almost all flavor combinations and variations. I like a softer gingerbread flavor and I love a dark and rich gingerbread flavor. This cake is definitely of the dark and rich variety and I positively adore it!
Eating this little cakes is like experiencing a bit of spicy jubilance and it feels decadent and indulgent. In fact, I’ll bet just one of these mini cakes has enough luscious flavor to completely satisfy any gingerbread cravings you may have without even needing a second helping! They are that dark and rich.
And their scent! Oh, their scent is divine! When they are baking they will fill your home with the scent of the holidays an will have you anxiously awaiting their completion. Basically, I cannot rave about these cakes enough. Give them a try and you are sure to understand why and may even find yourself praising them along with me.
