Alphabet Flash Cards and Coloring Book from “The Jam Tart”
My little guy has been in love with the alphabet since he was about 18 months-old. He learned to recite them with pride and even got down his letter recognition for the uppercase letters. Some of his favorite toys that helped him with this were his alphabet puzzles, magnets, and books with which he would spend significant amounts of time playing with of his own accord. It’s a “proud mamma” moment kinda thing. Don’t you love those?
Anyway, he has long since graduated letter recognition with the uppercase letters and now we are working on learning the lower case letters and he has a brand new favorite tool for those, these gorgeous flash cards from The Jam Tart. Each flash card has a beautifully designed letter in the style of an animal that starts with that particular letter. Then on the back is the traditional upper and lower case letter. They are really thick, glossy, quality paper and a nice large size. Though I must admit my favorite thing about them is probably how darn adorable they are!
Along with the flash cards we received a companion coloring book and we are so excited to try it out. It is also made with thick, quality paper and is modern and beautiful. Inside it contains the graphics for each letter of the alphabet (the same as the ones on the flash cards) in black and white for you to color in. I love how they are nice and big and that each page has jut one letter that takes up all the space. I’m thinking of using it with him for a preschool unit on the alphabet where he can color in the “letter of the day” with each lesson. He has already made a bit of progress learning his “baby letters” and I am excited to delve into the alphabet further with him. We are officially a fan of The Jam Tart’s products!
