May is a wonderful month. Everything is starting to warm up more and the end of School and Summer are right around the corner. However, before Summer starts we try to squeeze in as many Spring books as we can because we just love them so much. The vast bulk of books on this list are favorite Springtime books.
In our home we also get excited for our annual Cinco De Mayo Celebration. For that we usually eat homemade enchiladas and other goodies like churros and we do fun activities like making and breaking open pinatas. Books that are a great fit for Cinco De May make this even more fun.
Lastly, for us May means Mother’s day. This means that I couldn’t help but throw in a few books that feature moms into our May reading bunch. Moms are pretty important (even if I do say so myself) and there are so many beautiful picture book tributes to them.
We hope that you enjoy the books on this reading list as much as we do. Below all the book links you can find a printable (free for personal and educational use) to take with you to the library for finding these wonderful titles. Happy reading!
