Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix (and the oil, eggs and water asked for)
- 16 ounces fruit cake mix
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- candy bow ties for topping if desired
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees then follow the instructions on the box for the yellow cake mix.
- After you have mixed together the cake batter, stir in the candied fruit mix and the slivered almonds. Next, scoop the batter into a heavily greased muffin tin to about two thirds full.
- Bake for 14-16 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes up clean. Remove from the pan onto a rack to cool and then top with bow tie candies if desired. (You can adhere them with frosting, icing gel, or royal icing.)
